MCO Orlando Airport Parking: Tips to Find the Best Spot at the Best Price

Like most airports, MCO Orlando Airport Parking can be confusing if you don’t plan ahead.  Do I know which lot is closest to my flight departure gate?  Can I get a good rate for long-term parking?

Worry not! Below are some quick tips to help save yourself time and hassle when planning your next departure from Orlando Airport (MCO).

Planning Your Trip Based on Your Parking Needs

MCO Airport Parking needs are as diverse as your needs. Orlando Airport offers:

  • Terminal top parking
  • Short- and long-term parking
  • Cell phone lots
  • Economy lots
  • Valet parking
  • E-Pass and SunPass payment options
  • Car detailing
  • Motorcycle parking
  • Oversized vehicle parking (non-commercial)
  • Electric vehicle parking/charging
  • Grace periods for the first 20 minutes

MCO is, of course, fully accessible and compliant with ADA regulations to make mobility and parking easier for the physically disabled.

In accordance with Florida law, they also offer free parking options for disabled veterans and vehicles with accessibility equipment like ramps or lifts.

Budget-Minded?  Look into MCO’s Economy Parking

MCO understands that you might be watching your budget, so they offer two economy lots to save your hard-earned cash.

Free economy lot shuttles transport you to and from your terminal so you’ll never miss a flight.

Electric Vehicle Park and Charge Options

Electric vehicle charging is available in the:

  • A Garage, Level 2, Row A
  • B Garage, Level 2, Row P

If you drive a hybrid like a Prius or a fully-electric car like a Tesla, you’ll want to have a fully-charged vehicle waiting for you upon your return home.

Considerations for Dropping Off and Picking Up Friends at MCO Airport Parking

For Dropoffs:

When dropping off a friend at MCO, be mindful of not congesting the already-crowded drop-off points.

Private vehicles may drop domestic passengers off at the curbside check-in on the Departures Level (Level 3) on either the A-Side or B-Side of the Terminal.

Remember that while dropping off passengers on the curb outside the Terminal is permitted, vehicles may not be stationary unless quickly unloading passengers and/or baggage, and under no circumstances may your vehicle be left unattended. Otherwise, it will be towed and ticketed.

For Pickups:

Follow the rule of thumb of having your traveling friend wait on you, not the other way around.

Picking up passengers at the Arrivals/Baggage Claim Curb (Level 2) outside the A-Side or B-Side of the Terminal is permitted. However, if you arrive early, please use the free Cell Phone Lot and allow at least 20 minutes after arrival time (30 minutes if the passenger has checked baggage) to allow for passengers to transfer to the Main Terminal where you are waiting.

Hyatt Valet Parking

If you’re staying at the onsite Hyatt hotel, you can take advantage of their valet parking service. This includes short- or long-term parking.

Another nice feature of Hyatt parking—these covered parking spots are regularly patrolled by airport police, so you can have peace of mind about your car and belongings while away on your trip.

Final Thoughts

Remember, MCO parking division operates under the philosophy that parking should be easy to pay for, easy to find, fully accessible, and simple to use.

MCO users agree that their airport parking options are plentiful and easy.  As Orlando airport always says, “No one parks you closer!”
